Hyatt Hotels Corporation, American multinational hospitality company based in Chicago, Illinois, has announced the opening of a 104 room hotel under the JdV by Hyatt brand in Brooklyn, New York, U.S.
The opening of the 22 - story The Livingston hotel marks the debut of the brand in Brooklyn, the most populous of the five boroughs of New York City, coextensive with Kings County in the U.S. state of New York, famous for its iconic skyline views from the Brooklyn Bridge, the nostalgic boardwalk and food scene at Coney Island, and the trendy, artsy vibe of neighbourhoods like DUMBO and Williamsburg.
The Livingston is located at 291 Livingston Street near the Barclays Center, Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) and Brooklyn Museum, providing easy access to the most important atractions of the borough and Manhattan.
The project was developed by Midas Hospitality, a fully integrated real estate company offering Capital, Development, Construction, and Hotel Management services headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri and ACRES Capital, a commercial real estate leader based in Uniondale, New York, providing debt capital solutions for commercial estate across the United States.
The property features 104 comfortable rooms and suites, 15 of them with balconies, featuring a modern - industrial design and include complimentary Wi - Fi, spa - like bathrooms with white marble showers, 55 inch TVs in – room safes, mini fridges, coffee makers, desks, and lounge chairs.
The hotel’s dining options include The Grove Lantern, a full - service restaurant serving locally inspired cuisine and Goldfinch Café in the lobby, which offers espresso beverages and pastries from nearby bakeries.
The Livingston also provides an 820 - square - foot rooftop terrace for events and gatherings, as well as an art installations by local creators and the property is pet - friendly.
The establishment joins JdV by Hyatt brand, a collection of independent boutique hotels well known for their unique character, reflecting the spirit and identity of neighbourhoods they are located in.
