Kenya | Kenya Airways and TUI Have Partnered for the Relaunch of KQ Holidays to Drive Year - Round Tourism to the Country

Kenya Airways, the flag carrier airline of Kenya, founded in 1977, after the dissolution of East African Airways, with its head office located in Embakasi, Nairobi, and its hub at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport has partnered with TUI Airline Holidays, part of TUI Group, German multinational leisure, travel and tourism company headquartered in Hanover, and trading on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and Hanover Stock Exchange for the relaunch of KQ Holidays, the revamped travel division of Kenya Airwways to drive year - round tourism to the country.

The new established end - to end booking platform that combines KQ Holidays’ network with TUI’s holiday packaging expertise offers tailored, dynamic packages, including flights, premium hotels, transfers, and local experiences powered by TUI’s white - label technology for real - time inventory and tailored options.

The initiative with a focus on sustainable tourism, authentic local engagement and personalised itineraries aims to position and promote Kenya as a year - round leisure destination, enabling tourists to book, among other things, safari and beach experiences, while also enabling travellers transiting through Nairobi to add a stopover in Kenya within a single booking, supporting visitor dispersion and incremental spending, while the partnership is expected to broaden Kenya Airways’ customer base and drive ancillary revenue.

Key Aspects of the KQ Holidays Relaunch

•    Partnership Focus: Combines Kenya Airways’ extensive African network with TUI’s expertise in curated holiday solutions to increase tourism and passenger traffic.
•    Dynamic Packaging: The platform allows customers to bundle flights, hotels, transfers, car hire, excursions, and experiences, offering personalized, flexible travel options.

•    Digirtal Innovation: Utilizes TUI’s technology to provide real – time inventory management and user – friendly, tailored itineraries.
•    Sustainability and Growth: Aims to support local sustainable tourism and create new revenue streams for the airline by offering complete travel packages beyond just air tickets.
