IHG Hotels & Resorts | Announced the Signing of a Management Agreement to Open a 140 - Key Hotel Indigo in Cairo New Administrative Capital, Egypt

IHG Hotels & Resorts, British multinational hospitality company headquartered in Windsor, Berkshire, England, UK has signed a management agreement with Jadeer Group, a renowned real estate developer founded in 2006 and based in New Cairo, committed to creating exceptional projects across Egypt and the Arab world for the to open a 140 - key hotel Indigo in Cairo New Administrative Capital.

The future Hotel Indigo Cairo New Administrative Capital scheduled to open in 2033 will open its doors within a mixed - use development in Cairo New Administrative Capital, located in the desert between Cairo and Suez, a massive 700+ square kilometres  “smart city” under construction designed to house over 6.5 million people and alleviate congestion in Cairo,  serving as the new seat of government, hosting ministries, the parliament, a central business district with the 385m Iconic Tower, the “Green River” park, and the 93.940 - capacity Misr Stadium. 

The New Administrative Capital is a master - planned city featuring modern infrastructure, government and diplomatic districts, premium residential communities, large - scale commercial and mixed - use developments, connected to Cairo by major highways and planned transport networks, and include a pipeline of cultural, retail, and lifestyle destinations.

The hotel will feature 140 rooms reflecting the character of its surrounding neighbourhood, with locally inspired design and experiences and is positioned to serve the business, governmental, and residential ecosystem of the New Capital, catering to both corporate and leisure demand.

The property will join the Indigo boutique hotel brand, known for its vibrant community - focused properties that reflect the unique stories of the neighbourhoods they are located. Each hotel is designed to be a destination in itself, offering a blend of luxury and lifestyle with a focus on local experiences.

The signing builds on the partnership between IHG Hotels & Resorts and Jadeer Group, following the announcement of Hotel Indigo New Cairo in September 2025. The project adds to the IHG’s pipeline in the New Capital, which includes planned Crowne Plaza, InterContinental, and Holiday Inn hotels.

IHG Hotels & Resorts currently operates nine hotels in Egypt under the Crowne Plaza, InterContinental, Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites brands, with 23 additional hotels scheduled to open in the coming years.
