León, Mexico | Reaffirming its Leadership as One of the Most Important Destinations in the Country for Congresses, Exhibitions, Fairs and Events

León has been selected as the venue for the FIEXPO Worshop & Technical Visit 2026, which will take place from March 17 to 20, a major event for the MICE industry in Latin America organized by FIEXPO Exhibitions Group, an organization that promotes the MICE segment internationally by linking with suppliers and destinations with specialized buyers, a major event that enhance the city’s status as a strategic hub for professionals, corporate events, and trade show.

From July 15 - 17, 2026 the city will also host the XVI National Congress of the Meeting Professioinals International (MPI) Mexico Chapter. The event will be hosted at the Poliforum León, chosen for its infrastructure and connectivity as a leading destination in the meeting industry. The congress will introduce a new concept called “Enfoque,” which is designed to strengthen the professionalization, training, and knowledge exchange of meeting industry professionals, bringing together leaders in the sector to share trends, innovation and development strategies.

From August 10 to 12, 2026 the city will host the 7th International Congress of Early Stimulation and Intervention, an event organized by the Mexican Institute of Early Stimulation and Human Development (IMEDTYD), a major congress with the participation of eminent specialists from the medical, educational and psychological fields focused on child development.

In September León will be the venue of the National Meeting of Educating Cities which focuses on transforming municipalities into learning environments that prioritize education as a tool for social development, cohesion and inclusion and from October 23 to 25 the city will host the X National Congress of the Mexican Association of Nurses and Technicians in Digestive Endoscopy (AMETED).

In addition the Mexican city is hosting other major events in 2026, including the Energyar Tour (renewable energy), various leadership and healthcare conferences, the WBC International Gala 2026, and the State Fair of León, which includes large - scale artistic, cultural, and gastronomic offerings providing a unique “bleisure” (business + tourism) experience for delegates.

In 2025, 1.175 teams were registered and the attendance of more than 45.000 visitors.
