LEVA Hotels, a Dubai - based, dynamic lifestyle hotel brand founded in 2019 that focuses on affordable, design - led and tech - savvy hospitality has signed a management agreement with Radar Properties, the property development and management division of Radar Holdings Limited, a group based in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe to develop a 120 - key lifestyle hotel in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe’s second - largest city and industrial hub, located in the southwest of the country.
Known as the “City of Kings”, Bulawayo serves as the capital of Matabeleland region, featuring wide, tree - lined streets, a rich Ndebele cultural history, and close proximity to major tourist sites like Matobo National Park, famous for rhino tracking, balancing rocks, and Cecil Rhodes’s grave.
The future opening of the Kings City Hotel marks LEVA Hotels’ fourth venture in Zimbabwe, following recent projects into the capital of the country, Harare, and signals growing international nivestor in the country’s hospitality and tourism sector.
The property will be located in Kings City, a 2100 - hectare award - winning, gated mixed used development bordering Killarney and Sunninghill along Gwanda Road, 8 km from Bulawayo’s city’s centre, offering premium residential, commercial, and institutional stands, positioned as a gateway to some of Zimbabwe’s premier tourist destinations, such as Hwange National Park, Matobo Hills, and Victoria Falls.
The establishment catering to both business and leisure travellers will offer guest rooms, serviced hotel residences, a restaurant, fitness centre, spa and conferencing facilities.
As a greenfield development the Kings City hotel adds meaningful new accommodation infrastructure to a city that serves as a natural staging point for travellers exploring western Zimbabwe’s wildlife and heritage attractions.
LEVA Hotels’ expansion reflects a broader trend of international hotel brands targeting African markets with strong tourism fundamentals and undersupplied quality accommodation.
