IHG Hotels & Resorts, British multinational hospitality company based in Windsor, Berkshire, England, UK, has signed a management agreement with Makson India Hospitality Pvt Ltd, a 16 year old company with registered office in Alwar, Rajasthan to open a 225 - key luxury InterContinental resort in Jaipur, the vibrant capital of the Indian state of Rajasthan, globally renowned as the “Pink City” for its terracotta - hued historic architecture and boasting a rich history and culture.
Founded in 1727 by Maharaja Jai Singh II, Jaipur is a bustling anchor of India’s Golden Triangle tourist circuit, seamlessly blending ancient royal heritage with modern, bustling city life, celebrated for its vedic - inspired grid layout, spectacular hilltop forts, opulent palace,a rich artisanal heritage highlighted by stunning attractions including the Walled City, Amer Fort, and Jantar Mantar, as well as known as a leading destination for events and weddings.
The resort will be the fourth IHG Hotels & Resorts branded property within the Jaipur city limits and the second InterContinental unit in the market confirming the interest of the company to enhance its presence in key destinations with a high touristic potential.
Scheduled to open in early 2030 the InterContinental Jaipur Achrol Resort will be developed on a 16 - acre site along the Delhi Jaipur highway (NH8) in Achrol, a historic census village and developing tourist destination located in the Amber Tehsil of Jaipur district. The site is renowned for its tranquil Aravalli Hill setting, offering a blend of ancient heritage, adventure trekking, and high - end luxury resort geataway.
The 225 - key resort will feature 36 villas, 189 guest rooms, four dining options: an all - day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a lobby lounge, and a pool bar.
Additional amenities will include a club lounge, spa, fitness centre, swimming pool, retail outlets, and parking. Event facilities will feature two venues, one of which is a ballroom, for wedding and social gatherings.
The resort will join InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, a brand known for its upscale accommodations and services in prime locations around the world, pioneering new destinations for decades, from historic buildings to immersive resorts offering comfort, luxury, excellence in service and attention to details.
IHG Hotels & Resorts currently operates over 50 hotels across six brands in India: Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn Express, Holiday Inn Resorts, InterContinental, Six Senses, and voco Hotels. The company has a pipeline of 98 hotels in development in the country.
