Barceló Hotel Group, major Spanish hospitality multinational based
in Palma de Mallorca, after inaugurating its 5 ***** hotel in Cape Verde on May
15, 2024, Barceló Praia Cape Verde on the island of Santiago is planning a new
future expansion on the African country.
In the pipeline for the Balearic group is a hotel in Boa Vista, Marine Club Beach Resort, a five-star hotel that will operate under the Barceló Hotels & Resorts brand.
There is also a project for the construction of a hotel in Isla de Sal in the Pontao area specifically in the municipality of Santa Maria on the southern tip of the island, and it will be an adults-only 5-star resort with a capacity of 260 rooms.
The General Manager of Barceló Hotel Group in Cape Verde and Madeira said that the African island in the Atlantic Ocean represents a strategic destination for the expansion of the brand thanks to its tourism potential and a growing high demand.
In the coming years Barceló Hotel Group is planning to invest more than 80 million euros with different operations such as acquisition, repositioning of several hotels, rebranding as well as in the construction of new projects collaborating in the economic and social development of the African country.
