Hyatt Hotels & Resorts | Two Historic New Orleans Hotels in its Portfolio
Hyatt Hotels Corporation,American multinational company headquartered in Chicago – Illinois has announced the expansion of its brand with two historic hotels in New Orleans, captivating and charming city well known as "The Big Easy" on the Mississippi River near the Gulf of Mexico in Louisiana.
The two hotels are the Maison Métier, formerly Maison de la Luz, and The Barnett, formerly Ace Hotel New Orleans, owned by The Domain Companies and managed by HRI Hospitality, entering the Hyatt portfolio as affiliated hotels with plans to be integrated into the Hyatt Independent Collection of brands by participating in the World Hyatt loyalty program this year.
The brand called Independent Collection consists in unique properties characterized by being historic hotels, immersive retreats or with a strong identity, each with an independent brand and ideal for enriching the traveler's experience with their uniqueness.
Hyatt's vice president of global franchise operations said the group's growth continues to be fueled by the leisure and lifestyle segment and that the expansion in New Orleans is tied to Hyatt's commitment to grow in major and international destinations.
Maison Métier developed in a 1908 building is a belle epoque guesthouse which preserved its architectural integrity provides 67 luxurious and welcoming rooms equipped with all amenities, tastefully furnished and touches of attractive design.
The bar inside the hotel is a chic lounge style formerly known as Bar Marilou maintains its partnership with Paris-based Quixotic Projects, it will continue to offer trendy and creative cocktails and culinary delights to satisfy the most discerning palates.
The Barnett, another historic New Orleans hotel situated in the vibrant and bustling Wirehouse District that includes its long tenure as Barnett's Furniture Store, featuring its quintessentially French Modernist and Art Deco influences.
The gastronomy of the hotel will show a new identity with the former Italian restaurant Josephine Estelle, rooftop and poolside bar while the Seaworthy restaurant, a further highlight of the hotel, will remain under the same brand and culinary leadership.
