Grupo Hotusa | 2024 First Six Months a Historical Record

 

The Grupo Hotusa, international Spanish company integrated by various divisions linked in different areas of the tourism sector founded in 1977 and with its headquarter in Barcelona, has just concluded the best first half of its 47-year history with an Ebitda in the period January - June that yielded €102 million, exceeding by 34% its record to date which corresponded to the first half of 2023 in which with a growth of 66% compared to the previous year when it reached € 76 million.

These remarkable results translate into a 10% increase in revenues in the first half of 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching a turnover of € 703 million, significant figures that are linked to the improvement in all its operating and business areas.

In the financial year corresponding to the 2023 financial year, the company had a turnover of € 637 million, which had exceeded those of 2022 by 37%, and this further growth has as its key to success the growing tourism sector and good internal management of the group throughout its structure.

President of the Hotusa Group Amancio Lopez Seijas declared to be deeply proud for the excellent work done and the very good performance of the sector combined with a more than efficient management that led to excellent results in the first half of 2024 enunciating that the achievements of these excellent results constantly on the rise are due to three essential points.

1)     A targeted policy of sustained and consolidated expansion that has made it possible to increase the portfolio of hotels both in the hotel area corresponding to Eurostars Hotel Company and in the network of Keytel associates which, with its work, has been elevating and consolidating itself as the main alliance of independent hotels worldwide.

2)     The trend in demand during the year has benefited and has determined an evolution of all tourism segments and markets, consolidating in this case Retel as a leading booking center in the sector.

3) The third point is based on good management and precise and exhaustive cost control, which has consequently made it possible to improve margins very significantly.

The Chairman of Hotusa Group then added that in light of the current trend, the group faces the second half of the year with cautious optimism with the awareness that the company's growth model must be based on the commitment to technological development, digitization, the attraction and training of talents, the constant improvement of products and a challenge launched to maintain sustained growth in which international expansion always plays a fundamental role in the development of the company.
