Iberostar Waves Gaviotas Park Fuerteventura Reopens its Doors

 

Iberostar Group well-known global tourism company and luxury hotel group based in Palma de Mallorca that boasts four business areas, reopens the Iberostar Waves Gaviotas Park in Fuerteventura, the second largest of Spain's Canary Islands sits in the Atlantic Ocean 100 km off north coast of Africa on the beautiful beach of Jandia near the natural park of the same name.

After a complete renovation, this hotel is part of Iberostar Waves, identified as a new segment dedicated to offer comfort, fun, living memorable experiences in the idyllic scenery of the Canary Islands in Fuerteventura.

Reopened with the concept of an all-inclusive resort for families after an ambitious transformation project based on a firm commitment to offer quality to guests with exceptional service, the resort reflects the characteristics that define the new segment presented by the hotel group that is oriented to offer at the same time, leisure, fun, comfort, ideal destination for couples and people who love the beach in an ideal place to create unique experiences.

This project, with its consequent implementation, was the result of the valuable feedback received from guests and was therefore conceived and designed to accommodate multigenerational families, demonstrating a solid commitment on the part of Iberostar Hotels & Resorts to offering a quality product, constantly striving to promote a responsible tourism model in the Canary Islands.

The decoration project is essentially inspired by the spirit of Fuerteventura by incorporating marine elements with seagulls as a common thread, all linked to the Iberostar group's passion for the oceans and activities such as windsurfing, surfing, and water sports that attract many travelers to Fuerteventura throughout the year.

Other important details in the design are floral decorative elements inspired by cacti and other succulent, exotic and native plants of the Canary Island. 

The new hotel offers 237 completely renovated rooms and suites, equipped with all amenities, tastefully furnished, spacious most of them can accommodate up to 5/6 people.

A notable highlight are the new family suites that boast two rooms and the themed rooms carefully designed for the little ones with furnishings inspired by the elements of the sea and surf.

Iberostar Wawes Gaviotas Park Fuerteventura offers guests five outdoor swimming pools, a spa complex, various surprises for the little ones including a slide in the lobby, the Star Camp, two children's pools, one of which is enlarged and provides games and water activities.

This renewed family-oriented concept also introduces a new, varied, sustainable and healthy gastronomic experience with quality products and a wide range of responsibly sourced fish and seafood.

The Resort connected to all this offers four bars and restaurants, the Maday restaurant whose name derives from a Guanche name that corresponds to the ancient name of the island with buffet service inspired by local and international cuisine, a snack bar with decorations inspired by surfing and ocean waves.

In addition there are the Marsasul Bar inspired by the beauty of the sun and the sea,  the Bar – Tindaya Theater which recalls the iconic sacred hill of the island, an archaeological treasure that stands out with its 400 meters of height on the flat territory of Fuerteventura. 

Iberostar Hotels & Resorts is strongly committed to promoting a responsible tourism model in all the destinations in which it operates, with considerable efforts for sustainability and local communities, and for this hotel in Fuerteventura the group plans to employ 240 people, offering them a wide range of benefits that take care of their general well-being.

The new resort also reopens to 100% electric and renewable energy like the rest of the hotel chain's hotels in Spain, all in order to minimize its carbon footprint and work towards achieving the goal of net zero emissions by 2030.

Aware of the privileged environment in which it is located, the Iberostar Waves Gaviotas Park aims to source all seafood from responsible sources by 2025 and aims to reduce food waste with the help of an AI-based tracking system in line with the group's ambitious commitment to be free from waste sent to landfill by 2025.
