The well-known Spanish hotel company RIU Hotels & Resorts with its headquarter in Mallorca will reopen the Riu Palace Bavaro in the Dominican Republic immediately after a major project that includes renovation and expansion operations.
The resort will provide almost 620 rooms in its Arena Gorda resort with facilities that will include nine different swimming pools and one of the symbols of the RIU group, namely a Splash water world.
The accommodation has added 380 rooms including the demolition of the adjacent Riu Naiboa which means additional space of the property and will incorporate the Elite Club service for adults staying in the resort offering extra services, exclusive check-in, guaranteed late check-out and raised minibar.
One of the primary objectives is to highlight families with the development of more swimming pools including one for the little ones and a new swim-up bar and another for Elite Club travellers.
Gastronomy is also a priority for the hotel group with the launch of a new "food court" that will offer pizzeria, Asian food, ice cream, tacos, as well as a mockery.
Gastronomy is also a priority, with the launch of a new "food court" that will offer pizzeria, Asian food, ice cream and tacos, among other cuisines, as well as a buffet and it is the first time that the hotel group has opted for this type of culinary concept in one of its all-inclusive resorts.
