Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, international hospitality company founded in 1979 owned by Hong Kong – based Rosewood Hotel, plans to open the Rosewood Mandarina, in early 2025 in Riviera Nayarit, idyllic coastal resort in Mexico located between the Sierra Madre Mountain range and Pacific coastline, stretching from the historic port of San Blas to where the Rio Ameca meets Banderas Bay.
This future ultra-luxury property of only suites will be equipped with 134 rooms equipped with swimming pools and outdoor terraces including three special suites and two indopendant villas overlooking the sea and the local mountains.
Guests will have access to common areas that will include a restaurant offering Japanese cuisine, a bar developed on a cliff, other informal dining options on the beach, the Asaya Spa and the Rosewood Mandarina Explorers Club dedicated to children.
The hotel will also offer a wide range of activities including horseback riding, opportunities to participate in polo matches, surfing and zipline.
The hotel group has announced that the design of Rosewood Mandarina directed by Caroline Meersseman of Bando x Seidel Meersseman will draw inspiration from the pre-Hispanic cultures Cora and Huichol combined with contemporary luxury with modern comfort and the serenity of the local natural environment.
Rosewood Mandarina will be Rosewood Group's fourth property in Mexico, joining Rosewood Las Ventanas al Paraiso, Rosewood Resort in San José del Cabo, Rosewood Mayakoba in Riviera Maya and Rosewood Rosewood in San Miguel Allende.
