Castilla - La Mancha, historic territory and autonomous Spanish community located in the central part of the Iberian Peninsula in a region in central Spain to the south and east of Madrid occupying most of the southern – sub plateau, called "submeseta sur" which encompasses plains dotted with castles, windwills, castles plus mountain ranges, the setting of the famed 17th century novel "Don Quijote" by Miguel de Cervantes plans to allocate more of €100 Million for the tourism sector in 2025.
The first Vice President of the community of Castilla - La Mancha José Luis Martinez Guijarro has announced that the regions's Budget Bill for 2025 plans for this important investment to defined development plans in the tourism sector.
The budget will allocate funds for the development of the Strategic Tourism Plan of the Castilla - La Mancha community, an initiative that includes the so - called Regional Gastronomy Plan 2025 - 2030 which will be endowed with €10 million to give a solid boost to the community gastronomic sector, one of the great pillars of Castilla La - Mancha economy.
The Regional Gastronomy Plan will be presented in January 2025 and has as its primary objective to support producers and hospitality professionals, highlighting the prestige of the gastronomic sector, promote talent, through the identification and promotion of regional talents in the gastronomy of the territory through training policies and professional incentives.
The Raiz Culinaria brand the gastronomic label that certifies and recommends those culinary experiences that are truly authentic and representative of the territory with the aim to invite visitors to enjoy and try what Castilla – La Mancha tastes like will also be strengthened to encourage the sector by working in symbiosis between tourism and gastronomy and all this starting from sustainability.
