Formerly known as Hotel 115, the new Accor establishment has transitioned the Sebel brand following a franchise agreement with RA Group, the Regional Accommodation Group, a move that marks the ninth The Sebel establishment in Victoria state and the 35th unity in Austrialia and New Zealand.
The Sebel Melbourne Kew is the RA Group's first urban hotel, joining their collection of eight regional properties across New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland and to facilitate the transformation the company is procedeeding with a comprehensive refurbishment of the reception area and the lobby, with plans for an overall upgrade of the accommodation.
The accommodation enters in the Sebel Hotels & Apartments upscale brand of Accor S.A. , a brand offering guests stylish and spacious accommodation with a warm experience of an unforgettable stay in Australia and New Zealand.
The Sebel Melbourne Kew is situated at 115 Cotham Road in the Kew District, a very captivating area which boasts a stylish mix of Art Deco, Edwardian, Mid Century, Modern and Victorian housing, tree – lined streets, high – end shopping and dining options, just 6.0 kilometres from Melbourne's Central Business District, conveniently connected to the city centre via the Eastern Freeway and direct tram services, within a 10 - minute drive of Melbourne Cricket Ground and Collins Street.
The hotel features 89 rooms and 23 one - and two - bedroom apartments, suitable for a range of guests including conference groups, executives, families and long-term stayers, also housing a function space that accommodates up to 130 people for cocktail receptions or 80 for banquets as a preferred venue for corporate and social events in Melbourne's eastern suburbs.
Accor Pacific Chief Operating Officer PM&E Adrian Williams, expressed his delight at the new partnership with RA Group and the Sebel Melbourne Kew's addition to Accor's hotels in the city of Melbourne and he stressed that the new property would significantly enhance its portfolio in the eastern suburbs, providing an excellent base for both, business and leisure travellers.
The RA Group's Managing Director, Dominic Quilligan, emphasized that rebranding the property as The Sebel was a key factor in the collaboration, expressing enthusiasm abot working with Accor S.A., benefiting from their understanding of the Melbourne market, and witnessing a significant increase in the property's performances due to Accor's established distribution channels and marketing.
The launch of the Sebel Melbourne Kew represents Accor's 42nd establishment in Melbourne and its surrounding suburbs, demonstrating the Group's continuing commitment to providing top-tier accommodation across the region with a strategic expansion increasing further option for more and more travellers.
