Africa | Second Fastest Tourist Destination After the Middle East According to a Report by UN Tourism

This growth is attributed to strong and increasing demand from European markets, with several travellers showing a notable interest to live memorable experiences, adventures and explorations, promotion and captivating tourist proposals launched by African tour operators and travel agencies specialize in different segments and a very robust recovery in regional air connectivity, making the African continent one of the fastest growing tourism regions globally.

North African countries such as Morocco and Egypt became Africa's top destinations due to several new developments in terms of opening of upscale hotels, resorts, improvements in infrastructure, air connectivity and vast tourist offerings with captivating products and these attractive destinations saw a significant increase in international arrivals compared to the past five years.

Other destinations such as Kenya and Tanzania stood out for offering exciting wildlife safari experiences, adventure tourism, beach holidays and very interesting cultural tours, and other countries such as Botswana, Mauritius, Rwanda and South Africa are experiencing a constant development in terms of new offers and inviting packages, destinations particularly attractive for all those who are seeking adventures and discovering the essence and soul of the truly Africa.

International tourist arrivals are expected to increase by 3 - 5% in 2025, positioning Africa among the world's top tourism destinations with also expectations of significant growth driven by increased interest in sustainable and ecotourism and a growing demand include other segments and niches among them responsible travel, digital nomad experiences and astrotourism among others to live and enjoy memorable and unique experiences in the African continent.
