Los Angeles – U.S. | Announcement that the City is Open to Travellers after the Recent Wildfires in the Region

Los Angeles, sprawling Southern California city, the most populous Californian centre, hub of the nation' s film, entertainment and television industry, home to renowned museums, emblematic landmarks, diverse experiences, a vibrant nighlife, unique hotels and boasting about 120 kilometres of sunny coastline, announced that the city is open to travellers after ther the recent wildfires in the region.

The Californian metropolis encourages travellers to maintntain their trips to the American city, now the time has come when the tourism industry in that region is ready to come together and officially welcome visitors.

The CEO of the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board Adam Burke and the President and CEO of Visit California Caroline Beteta, recently issued a joint letter to the travel industry, as well as press releases from their respective agencies, sharing that the second - largest city in the U.S., is dependent of the leisure and business tourism.

Both explained that more than 98% of Los Angeles County was not directly affected by the Palisades and Eaton fires and that most of the region's destinations and landmarks were not affected, while restaurants and hotels remain fully operational.

By now the fires have been almost completely contained and the acute phase of the disaster has passed and in times like these, tourism does more than boots Los Angeles economy and it becomes a lifeline that supports thev community's recovery.

In addition, the CEO of Visit California encourages visitors to use AirNow.Gov for guidance on current air quality and air quality forecasts, iunforming that the site can be easily searched by zip code.

It should be noted that one in five tourism – related job in California is concentrated in Los Angeles County, a relevant hub of the industry with a very large offer in a multitude of segments, and more than half inhabitants of the region depend on the city's conferences, meetings and events as a source of income.

If the tourists continue to travel to Los Angeles as usual, the city will avoid an economic crisis and travellers will be able to feel at ease knowing that their visit will directly boost the city's recovery.

Los Angeles is the main gateway to many other places in Southern California, all of which were not directly affected by the fire and are open to commerce and tourism activities.

The Californian metropolis accounts more than 540.000 people working in the tourism industry and more than 1.000 local businesses that depend of the local industry for their livelihoods, having travellers continue to visit Los Angeles for leisure, business, and meetings and conventions, the city is reopening its doors with notable efforts and ready to welcome numerous tourists once again.
