Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts | Debut with a Refined and Stylish Hotel in Osaka, Japan

Astoria Hotels & Resorts, renowned luxury hotel and resort brand of Hilton Worldwide, founded in 2006 positioned as the flagship brand within Hilton's portfolio, makes its debut with a refined and stylish hotel in Osaka, Japan, a designed city and very active seaport on the island of Honshu in the Kansai region, a centre boasting a rich cultural and historical heritage, well known for its modern architecture, hearty street food, and traditionally considered the "country cuisine" or the "food capital" of Japan.

Waldorf Astoria Osaka is located in the heart of Osaka's Umekita District, the city's financial, cultural and shopping hub, a large urban development north of Osaka station, aiming to develop a hub for intellectual creativity and high competitive ability through industry - government academia - city planning.

The hotel is conveniently positioned in an area with easy access to the city's historical and contermporary landmarks such as Osaka Castle, Sumiyoshi Grand Shrine Bridge, Shitennō - Ji Temple, Tsūtenkatu Tower and Dōtombori District and seamless rail connections to other relevant cities such as Kobe, Kyoto and Nara.

The property designed by architect André Fu, is a refined and stylish sanctuary for guests featuring 252 comfortable rooms and suites, including two 146 - square - metre penthouse suites and a 193 0 square -  metre Presidential Suite located between the 31st and 38th floors of the South Park skycraper offering breathtaking 360 - degree views.

The hotel offers four unique dininng concepts led by renowned chefs, including the Peacock Alley lounge reminiscent the famed The Ivory Peacock, one of the more beautifully designed bars in New York City and amenities include  a selection of tailored spa treatments, rejuvenating thermal experiences and an indoor pool.

The President of ORIX Hotel Management Corporation, Takaaki Nitanai, said that the opening of Waldorf Astoria Osaka is a significant part of the Umekita 2nd Project, which aims to contribute to the development and revitalization of Osaka and the wider Kansai region. 

Hilton Asia Pacific President, Alan Watts expressed pride in introducing the Waldorf Astoria brand in Osaka, stating that the move aims to elevate the benchmark of luxury in a cosmopolitan city.
