Hilton Worldwide Holdings, Inc., American multinational hospitality company, headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, opened a new luxury hotel in the city centre of the capital of Piedmont region, Turin, an important business and cultural centre in northern Italy situated on the western bank of the River Po, below its Susa Valley and surrounded by the western Alpine arch, a centre known for its refined architecture with outstanding baroque buildings, old cafes line city's boulevards and grand squares and an exquisite cuisine.
The Hilton Turin Centre is located at Via dell' Arcivescovado, 18, strategically positioned to cater to both business and leisure travellers, a short walk from Egyptian Arcaeological Museum, Piazza San Carlo, Palazzo Carignano, a five - minute drie from Porta Nuova Railway Station, offering convenient access to other major Italian cities including Florence, Genoa, Milan, Naples and Rome and approximately a 30 - minute drive from Turin - Caselle International Airport.
The hotel is housed in a historic building where the headquarters of the Compagnia Anonima d' Assicurazione di Torino was located, designed by the architect Emilio Decker in 1953.
The building is a clear example of rationalist architecture in a contemporary key, linked to an architectural movement developed in Italy in the 1920s and 1930s following the principle of logic and functionalism developing with the use of symmetry and geometrically defined structures with low ornamentation.
The hotel's interior design incorporates elements of both Baroque and modern architecture, featuring details such as marble and stone accents.
The property features 175 rooms, including 36 suites and the Presidential Suite, which offers stunning views of Turin from a private balcony, along with a Turkish bath, a hydromassage bathtub, a kitchen and living room, which can be used for private meetings.
Dining options at Hilton Turin Centre include the MALÌA restaurant, which serves a menu designed by Chef Luca Gubelli featuring Piedmontese cuisine with Asian influences.
The hotel also offers a bar named Alchemy, which serves a selection of local and international flavours, as well as a garden area named Dehor for relaxation.
Amenities include a spa, wellness area and for business and event needs, the property offers 11 meeting rooms and two foyers, all equipped with audio - visual technology and adaptable layouts. These spaces are designed to accommodate a range of events, from corporate meetings to social gatherings.
