Banyan Group, a multinatational hospitality group established in 1994 and based in Singapore, formerly known as Banyan Tree Holdings, company which manages and develops resorts, hotels and spas in Asia, Europe, North America and Africa has announced the opening of two hotels in Zhejiang Province in Eastern China, a vast territory which encompasses a rural interior and urban centres along the East China Sea, one of the richest and most developed provinces in the Asian country, accounting for about 6% of the national GDP alone.
The new properties, Angsana Zhoushan and Homm Wenzhou Nanxijiang, expand the group’s presence in its largest market to a total of 36 operating hotels and this development is part of the company’s ongoing expansion strategy in China, which also marks its 20th year of operations in the country.
Hotels' features and a short description
Angsana Zhoushan - Located in the Punto District of Zhoushan in the city of thousand islands, known for its postcards scenes of fishing boats, coastal scenery and ancient temples, the hotel is conveniently nestled at the foothills of Wujian Mountain of Putuo District, bordering the Wuling Wetland Park, offering a tranquil retreat for travellers in nature and stunning views od Thousand Island Coast. The hotel features 222 comfortable rooms and villas blend natural elements and modern comforts seamlessly, many of them equipped with private onsen pools or courtyards. Amenities include a spa, onsen with multiple outdoor pools, a gym, and various dining options. The property also offers cultural experiences through its "Angsana 101" program.
Homm Wenzhou Nanxijiang - Nestled in the Yandang Mountains with the Nanxi River to the west, embracing the beauty of the mountains and waters, the hotel’s design is inspired by Song Dynasty, seamlessly integrating mountains, waters, forests, and buildings. Every step reveals a different view, creating a picturesque scene of a secluded Jiangnan landscape. The hotel features 100 comfortable rooms and suites, with 20 family - friendly layouts. A central feature of the property is a hot spring complex with 26 pools. Dining options focus on local local produce and seasonal ingredients. The hotel emphasizes sustainability and community engagement, reflected in its design and guests experiences. Activities available to guests include hiking, cycling, and seasonal fruit picking.
In addition to these openings, Banyan Group plans to open two more hotels in China later this year such as Banyan Tree Zhuhai Phoenix Bay and Dhawa Beihai Weizhou Island.
