Conrad Hotels & Resorts, an American multinational brand of high - end luxury hotels and resorts, owned and operated by Hilton Worldwide, Inc., multinational hospitality company based in Tysons, Virginia, has opened its first property in Germany, located in Hamburg, vibrant port city connected to the North Sea by the Elbe River, well known for its bustling harbour, historic district, cutting - edge architecture and energetic nightlife, a centre that greatly combines maritime heritage with modern innovation boasting several attractions.
Conrad Hamburg is located at Bugenhagenstraße, 8, hosted in the Levantehaus, a historic, Art Nouveau office building built in 1912, designed by architects Franz Bach and Carl Bensel, known for its elegant sandstone and animal frieze, constructed as a “Kontorhaus”, considered one of the most attractive Germany’s contemporary office structures at the time of its completion.
Situated in the heart of Hamburg’s Kunstmeile, or Art Mile, the convenient location is ideal for exploring nearby landmarks such as Hamburg City Hall, Jungfernstieg, Neuer Wall, Alster Lake and the emblematic Hafencity with its iconic Elbphilharmonie.
The hotel spans the second to eighth floors of the Levantehaus and features 283 rooms and suites, including 28 studios with kitchenettes and 29 suites. The largest suite, the Presidential Suite, covers 232 square metres and includes a private balcony and fireplace.
The hotel restaurant, GRETA OTO, serves Latin American cuisine and can accommodate up to 110 guests, with an additional 48 seats available on a courtyard terrace. The menu features South American dishes, including Peruvian ceviche and Brazilian beef tenderloin. A private dining area, La Mesa, is available for up to 12 guests.
Amenities at the Conrad Hamburg include a 1.000 square - metre spa and fitness area, which will include Hamburg’s longest indoor pool, a sauna and a steam bath.
The property provides nine event spaces, including flexible conferences areas than can accommodate up to 220 guests and an executive lounge is also available.
Conrad Hamburg also features a collection of works by contemporary German aritsts. Among the installations is a coloured leaded glass ceiling by Ada Isensee, a talented stained glass artist from Potsdam visible from all floors.
