Rivella Group, an independent hospitality company based in Costa Rica has announced to open a new 35 - room beachfront hotel in Santa Teresa, a hip town on the west coast of Costa Rica’s Puntarenas Province, loccated on the Nicoya Peninsula, a destination well known for its unspoiled coastline, jungle - backed beaches, surfing yoga, laid – back vibe and beautiful sunsets.
The Hotel Fermata is scheduled to begin operations on December 22, December 2025 is currently accepting booking and will become part of Rivella Group’s growing portfolio, which currently includes Outpost Nosara, Sendero Hotel and Sendero Villas.
The establishment is constructed with eco - friendly materials and energy -- efficient systems to minimize environmental impact and is strategically positioned in front of the La Lora surf break, a notable spot in the area.
The new property will feature a variety of accommodations, including casitas, rooms, and a two - bedroom villas, spaces designed to accommodate various types of guests, including couples, group of friends, and families.
Amenities at the hotel will feature, Fermata Kitchen, an oceanfront restaurant led by Chef Olivier Palazzo focusing on Mediterranean flavours combined with French techniques, a members - only Beach House for the surf community, a surf school with direct beach access, a wellness spa, a resort - style pool, and a children’s activity program.
