Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, an American hospitality company known as one the largest franchisors in the world, founded in 1981 in Dallas, Texas and based in Parsippany, New Jersey has unveiled the opening of a new Grand Hotel in Udaipur, vibrant city in the western Indian state of Rajashtan, former capital of the Mewar Kingdom, famous for its history, culture, romantic vistas, opulent palaces linked to the Rajput - era, imposing mountains, tiger gardens and known as the “City of Lakes” for its seven pristine lakes surrounding its boundaries.
The Wyndham Grand Udaipur Fateshagar Lake is located near Rani Road, nestled against the majestic Aravalli mountains and set within a sprawling 26 - acre estate just moments from Fatehsagar Lake.
The grand hotel is positioned to attract guest interested to discover the relevant history and culture of this very inspiring city and exploring Udaipur’s cultural landmarks, such as the City Palace, Jagdish Temple, and Shilpgram.
This new lavish retreat features 140 comfortable rooms and suites, blending contemporary and traditional elements. The guestrooms include Gokhda sit - outs marble bathrooms, and whirlpool bathtubs in select suites and a Palace Wing is planned to add 60 more rooms in the future.
The property is a vegetarian resort with dining options such as O Sian, Pyaala, and Shakahari, which serve Indian and international cuisine and offers various amenities, including a heated outdoor pool, a spa, and sports facilities for badminton, basketball, cricket, tennis, and volleyball and additional services include concierge support, childcare, and butler assistance.
For events, Wyndham Grand Udaipur Fateshagar Lake offers expansive venues, including a ballroom, an amphitheatre and a large lawn.
This new property is part of Wyndham’s portfolio of 90 Wyndham Grand hotels worldwide. Room rates start at 12.000 INR (approximately US$133, with the option to redeem stays with Wyndham Rewards points.
