Kalahari Resorts & Conventions, a privately owned family - run company based in Wisconsin Dells, WI, U.S. known for large, African - themed indoor waterpark resorts featuring dining, spa, ntertainment, and convention centres, with locations in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Wisconsin, and a new Virginia site coming soon has announced the upcoming opening of a new property located in Wisconsin Dells, a centre in southern Wisconsin on the Wisconsin River in a region highlighted by suggestive glacier - carved sandstone formations.
Wisconsin Dells is famous as the “Waterpark Capital of the World” boasting numerous theme parks and entertainment centres including Noah Ark Water Park & Kalahari, Olympus Water, and Theme Park alongside Mirror Lake State Park, a forested reserve surrounding the namesake lake.
The area is well known for nature trails and camping, stunning natural beauty like sandstone cliffs and the Wisconsin River, accessible via boat tours & the Riverwalk, a destination that offers family fun with unique attractions include Top Secret, Wonder Spot, wildlife (Deer Park), shopping, dining, and year - round events, a site blends a stunning natural scenery with thrilling entertainment.
Scheduled to open in early summer 2026, the Kalahari Treehouse Collection is part of the company’s Adventure Collection initiative, which aims to integrate natural settings with hospitality offerings.
The development represents an investment exceeding US$50 million.The new establishment will be situated along Lake Delton in Sauk County near the Wisconsin River and Lake Delton Reservoir, in a very attractive area highlighted by a pristine nature.
The accommodations are designed in collaboration with Pete Nelson and family, known for their work on Animal Planet’s “Treehouse Masters”. The design features include panoramic lake - view porches and handcrafted wood finishes, emphasising natural light and forest textures.
The property will feature luxurious multi - bedroom treehouses with kitchenettes, screened porches, loft sleeping areas, decks, modern comforts (Wi-Fi, AC/Heat, BBQ) and unique elements like slides or stargazing nets plus Daylene’s Supper Club, a dining establishment inspired by the Wisconsin supper club tradition.a private beach, an outdoor pool, and six boat slips.
Guests staying at the Treehouse Collection will receive admission to the indoor water park, a key attraction at Kalahari Resorts.
Alongside this upcoming opening Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is considering expanding the Adventure Collection to additional resort destinations.
