Radisson Hotel Group, a multinational hospitality company headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, has officially opened a 94 - room beachfront resort as member of Radisson Individual in Pounda, on the western coast of Paros, a stunning, versatile Greek island in the Cyclades, famous for its picturesque fishing villages, golden - sand beaches and vibrant nightlife. It offers the authentic charm of the Greek islands, alongside it rich cultural and historical heritage, cosmopolitan amenities, as well as a delicious traditional Hellenic cuisine, making it an ideal destination for couples, foodies, and families.
Pounda Resort Paros opened its doors in Pounda, well known for its beautiful seaside atmosphere, its port that is the main ferry crossing point to travel between Paros and Antiparos, outdoor activities, and as the island’s premium hub for kitesurfing and windsurfing.
The beachfront resort is located directly by the sea, approximately 10 minutes by car from the ferry port, offering an easy access to Pounda Kitesurf Club and attractions include Panagia Ekatontapiliani in Parikia, the Archaeological Museum of Paros, the Sanctuary of Delion and, Despotiko Island,
The resort underwent a renovation prior to opening and its design incorporates white tones, Mediterranean architecture, natural materials, and wood details.
The property features 94 comfortable, modern, Cycladic - style guestrooms and suites tailored for both couples and families. Accommodation types include, Standard, Family rooms equipped with bunk beds and luxury 2 - bedroom suites. Many accommodations offer sea views or close proximity to the water.
Dining options include a main restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine with a focus on Greek ingredients and a pool bar offering light refreshments throughout the day.
Amenities at the resort include a 200 - square meter outdoor swimming pool near the sea, umbrellas and sunbeds for guests, providing stunning sunset views over the Aegean Sea, a gym and a nearby kitesurf club.
The resort joins Radisson Individuals, a “soft brand” that allows independent hotels and small regional chains to join the Radisson Hotel Group global network while maintaining their own unique identity and architectural character.
The brand includes three distinct categories such as Premier (upper - upscale for business/leisure), Boutique (intimate properties) and Retreats (leisure – oriented resorts).
